White water rafting in the Quepos-Manuel Antonio area is exceptional. There are two rivers close by get rafted daily . First is the Rio Naranjo which offers class III-IV rapids in the form of half day trips in the morning and afternoon. The other is the Rio Savegre which offers class II-III rapids in the form of three quarter and full day trips. Each of the rafts on these trips is steered by a professional guide and each individual has life preserver and helmet. The prices for these trips range from $70 for the half day to $95 for the full day. For those who enjoy a little more activity in their water sports there is sea kayaking off the coast of Manuel Antonio park. This half day trip is offered in the morning and afternoon and cost is $65. The third option in a sea kayak is to go into the mangrove estuary at Damas Island. This is also a half day trip offered once daily , the time changes based on the time of the high tide. The price for this trip is also $65. Both kayak adventures are guided tours. All rafting and kayaking tours provide transportation and the three quarter and full day rafting also provide a meal. |
