| The Damas island mangrove tour is offered once daily , the time is dependent on the time of the high tide that day. This tour in a covered motor boat takes you deep into the mangrove forest in narrow canals. The canopy at times hides the sky. This estuary system is teaming with life, including crocs and caimen, white faced and howler monkeys, sloths and anteaters, snakes and a wide variety of birds.
