Quepos, Costa Rica

Canopy tours are the signature tour of Costa Rica. They are a fantastic way to see the rain forest up close and at the same time have one of the most thrilling rides of your life.canopy tour A canopy tour consists of platforms attached to trees <big trees> with a cable running from one platform to another. Each individual wears a harness similar to rock climbers, which is then attached to the pulley on the cable. Now it is just a matter of stepping off one platform and arriving rapidly at the next. Wow! In the Quepos, Manuel Antonio areas there are four different canopy tours. Each tour differs in the scenery and terrain into which they are built and also in the length and number of cables. Each of the four has an excellent safety record, first class equipment, and a history of superior customer service. Below are three canopy tours and the price of each.

Titi canopy is the closest canopy to Quepos. This canopy tour provides 12 cables with the longest two being 380 and 350 meters respectively. Of the three this is the least strenuous physically. This tour includes transportation, lunch and two tours daily. The cost is $55 per person

Canopy Safari provides 9 cables and two repel lines with the longest cable being 200 meters. This tour provides transportation, 3 tours daily and a meal. The cost is $65 per person.

Sky Mountain is the newest of the three canopy tours and is different in that the platforms are above the treetops, attached to steel towers. The cables run from mountain top to mountain top. There are 7 cables with the longest two being over 500 meters. The total length of the 7 runs is over a mile. Two tours daily with transportation. The cost is $65 per person.
